Peter and Jenn Boyles are the couple behind Stay on Board and The Liverpool Boat. We have been providing short term holiday accommodation since 2015. Starting with a two-bed apartment in the French Alps, we quickly caught the hosting bug! Being able to share our holiday home with others and for them to be able to experience what we loved was addictive. We already owned a cozy one-bed apartment in The Netherlands (where we were living) which was let out long-term. Once the tenants moved out, we renovated the apartment specifically for short term rentals. However, our second set of guests loved it so much that they stayed for over a year! We then decided to put all of our eggs in one basket and buy a larger property for us and others to use in the Austrian Alps. We sold both our apartments and bought a five-bed chalet. It was magical! However it proved to be very difficult to manage the rentals long distance. We then moved back to the UK. We sold the chalet to put the money into creating a holiday let business in England where we can be local and more hands-on. And that is how The Liverpool Boat came to be. Your oasis in the heart of Liverpool's bustling historical waterfront, The Liverpool Boat is newly-built wide-beam canal boat permanently moored at The Liverpool Yacht Club and Marina. The boat sleeps six in a family-friendly style with two bedrooms and an open-plan kitchen-dining-living room with a pull-out sofa bed. All that we offer is intended to make you feel at home during your stay. There is also a bar and restaurant on site. Laundry facilities are also available. The boat sleeps six in two bedrooms (1 king bed, 2 single bunkbeds and one pull out double bed). The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob/stove top, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, kettle, dishes, cutlery along with all the bits and pieces you might need. The bathroom offers a bathtub along with a shower. The living room is a cozy place to relax and watch TV or enjoy the free wifi.
Liverpool's waterfront has a long and rich history. In recent years, the entire area has been revitalised with fabulous attractions, bars, restaurants and housing. Being able to stay at such a central location as the The Liverpool Yacht Club and Marina in the Coburg Dock is rare and unique. Our neighbourhood includes: the Royal Albert Dock, the M&S Bank Arena, the trendy Baltic Triangle area, the Liverpool One Shopping Centre and so much more!
