The Lodge is a detached, studio cottage set over the ground floor. The open plan living space contains a king-size bed, an additional single bed, a kitchen, dining area and sitting area, making it suitable for three. There is also a separate shower room. From the sitting area, doors open onto a patio with charming views of the hills and fields, outdoor furniture and AstroTurf. There is also off road parking for two cars and lockable bike storage. The Lodge is a wonderful base for exploring Central Scotland on foot or bike, as there are many walking and cycling opportunities nearby.
Situated on the banks of the River Ericht, the red stone town of Blairgowrie makes a fabulous base for exploring the beautiful county of Perth and the lovely Angus Glens. The town is overlooked by hills and mountains, making this region superb walking, riding and cycling country. Golfers are very well catered for with many courses in the area including Rosemount and St Andrews and Gleneagles all within easy reach. Glamis Castle has a long history, and is said to be the most haunted castle in Scotland as well as the setting for Shakespeare's Macbeth. The Beech hedge at Meikleour was planted in 1745 and is the highest in the world. With so much on offer, this is a great year round holiday destination for the whole family.
