The lodge is a lovely cottage in a prime location in the Dales market town of Masham in Lower Wensleydale, close to the famous Black Sheep Brewery and the White Bear Hotel. The lodge interior has been completely renovated to a high standard leaving some original features like the old stable door and oak beams. It is approximately 2 minutes walk from the market square, where market day takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Masham has some superb pubs and cafes and has many activities. The lodge is a super, little spot in a central location of the town. It has a great open space area on the first floor. You will enjoy the comfort of your own parking space and on those lovely sunny afternoons, you can pull the table and chairs out and do a spot of reading in the area in front of the cottage. As times change, we have equipped the Lodge with Super fibre broadband so even a staycation/workcation could also be on the cards as more people work from home!
Andrew is a local Yorkshire lad who lived all his childhood nearby before moving overseas to work in Taiwan where he met his wife, Julia. Andrew and Julia moved back to the U.K in 2016 so that their family can experience a different culture, who are crazy about sport, especially tennis and used to play on the local courts just down the road from the Lodge across the recreation area. Yorkshire has to be one of the best places in the world especially in the summer even though I've been told we have never had a decent summer in ages!
