Hello! I'm Jane and I manage the The Penthouse in St Mary’s church. I have lived in Moffat since 2005 loving its friendliness and safe feel. I especially love the hills and surrounding countryside and I am always very happy to share my top tips for good walks, day trips and great places to eat in the town (of which there are many). My partner Mike and I own Manse Interiors on the High Street and refurbished the apartment in 2018 so know the property well and are are never far away if you need anything or have questions to ask.

St Mary's church is a stunning old building (built 1892) in the French gothic design and renovated in 2005 into 7 spacious 2 bedroom apartments. The Penthouse apartment is unique as it also houses the bell tower which has been redesigned with a cosy sitting area underneath a roof of glass and dramatic cobalt lighting to show the bell to full effect. In the main body of the apartment the sitting, kitchen and dining area are all together in an extravagant but well proportioned open plan space. Two bedrooms, both with King size beds and en suite shower rooms lead off at either end of the living area, the beautiful master bedroom bringing the real wow factor with its own sitting area, 4 poster bed and dramatic wall art. If you are looking for an indulgent break with friends or family which has all the home comforts in opulent surroundings, then this is for you. Close to all local amenities being just off the High Street, the church has its own car parking and privacy.

Moffat is a small, quaint town of about 2,500 people once famous as a spa town in the Victorian era. Nestled in the hills it is very picturesque and a haven for those looking for a few days to get away from it all. Just 3 miles from the motorway it is perfectly positioned for both visitors travelling north and south. It has an array of independent shops, pubs, cafes and award winning restaurants.
