Hi Im Jane Married to John who has just retired to become a greater part of the business. We love hosting our properties and getting to know our guests. Our many properties spread from Burton on Trent to Lichfield and across to the lovely town of Shrewsbury. Lots of thought goes into furnishing our properties and we hope that you will be comfortable. We try to provide the things that we would find important and the things that make us feel at home and hope you agree. Our properties are cleaned to high Covid standards to provide as safe an environment as we can and our cleaning team are very conscientious and proud of their high standards.

Property information

The Nook is our cosy cottage in Lichfield. We have furnished it with sympathetic furnishings and added everything you need for your comfort during your stay with us. You will find bottled water, milk and a chilled bottle of Prosecco in the fridge and hot drink options, including specialist coffees, in the kitchen cupboards. We give you a choice of breakfast cereals so you don't need to run to the shops as soon as you arrive, but Tesco is very close for your supplies. In the bathroom there are shower gels and shampoos as well as toothbrushes and toothpaste, should you have left with out packing your own. All of our laundry is professionally laundered to a high temperature by a local laundry and you will find the bed laid with crisp white linen and the towels to be fluffy and white. Although we don't live on the premises, we are always available at the end of the phone and , should you have an emergency or if there is anything that I may be able to help you with, please feel free to give me a call or message me. Neighbourhood information

Lichfield is a lovely market town steeped in history. The Nook is within easy walking distance of all the amenities, whether you love to stroll around the Cathedral and the quaint alleyways in the vicinity, or attend one of the many activities that take part within the Cathedral. Erasmus Darwin's house is just behind the cathedral and there is much to see, including his infamous herb garden. The city is also linked with Samuel Johnson, and you can see his birthplace and museum. The Old Guildhall Prison Cells are a must to see and the city is teaming with quaint coffee shops and cafes for your refreshments along the way. And while you are in the centre - take a tour of St. Mary's in the Market Square which is a former church and Arts Venue. Take a stroll in Beacon Park, or spend an evening at the Garrick Theatre. Browse the shops and visit the Fairy Trail at Heart of the Country which is a collection of converted 19th Century farm buildings converted into individual shops and boutiques as well as two restaurants. Don't miss the Curborough Hall Farm Countryside Centre with its gin shop and fabulous range of cakes and home cooked foods. There is so much to see and do.
