located in an Oast House built in 1895 the Oast House B and B provides unique accommodation in a traditional Kentish Oast House. The family room has a large window with a view over the garden while the double room is a unique circular room at the top of the roundel with a spiral staircase up to a circular bathroom. Our guests have access to our large half acre garden with chickens and three fish ponds where there is a tea bar and seats to take tea. The Oast House is very quiet at night so we all get a good night's sleep. There are three great parks with lakes and ducks a few minutes away and High Brooms station (one stop to Tunbridge Wells) is seven minutes walk. we are two minutes from an excellent food store and takeaway. There is parking on site for 5 cars. The Oast House is owned and managed by Olga Johnson MBE ( for services to charities) and her son Wayne. The neighbourhood is mixed with families and older people .
Olga really enjoys hosting because she meets so many people from the UK and world wide. It's great to see others enjoying the Oast House. Olga has just been awarded an MBE for 34 years managing charities and on 2012 setting up Nourish Foodbank which now feeds 300 families.
The surrounding area is quiet with a mix of private and social housing for young families and older people. There is a very good infant school close by and a lovely lake with woodland walks only five minutes away. There's a bus stop outside our front gate and a railway station five mins walk away. There are two large parks nearbye. Grosvenor Park provide's a lovely 20 mins walk into Tunbridge Wells Centre with a nice Cafe. Dunorlan Park is 10 mins walk away and has a huge lake with ducks and swans and a childrens playground. There's also good cafe/restaurant that serves a great breakfast with seats inside and on their veranda. Other interesting areas such as Scotney Castle , High Rocks and the Spa Valley Railway are only a few minutes drive. We have a cinema that seats 17 in our garden with weekly showings for friends neighbours and guests who choose which film they would like to see.
