A converted Carriage is a lovely and quirky location to spend some time in the historic city of York. It has all the modern amenities you'd expect including marble worktops in the kitchen with a quarry tile floor, and a wood burning stove in the sitting room, you will need to bring your own logs, which you can get at any garage and a lovely glazed roof in the dining area. There is a shower on the first floor, and a bathroom on the first floor with a free standing bath. The staircase is a little steep and narrow for some, and we do like you to put the recycling boxes out on a Monday night if you're willing! Our guest reviews are fantastic!

We love having guests in The Old Carriage and we won't disturb you unless asked! We don't believe in leaving lots of instructions around the place. We're sure you will have your own heating, washing machine and other modern gadgets in your own home, so we're sure you'll fathom how to use the ones in the cottage. You can see York Minster from the front door - so you're right in the middle of the city. Need we say more? Except do come by train if you can, we're only a short walk from the station, and you can't drive any closer to the city!
