The property was built in the late 1700's under orders from the Duke of Atholl and completed in its current form in 1828, the Georgian Wing was completed in 1842. The property is close to the A9 and ideal as a base for exploring throughout Scotland with day trips in every direction to choose from, as well as the many activities nearby. The property has been transformed to appeal to the luxury travel market with many bespoke and stylish rooms, pulling off that contemporary meets heritage design, with real flair and elegance.

The family hail from the Hebrides a place known for its friendliness and warm hospitality and this is what you'll find at The Old Manse of Blair. The property has undergone a total and extensive refurbishment since it was purchased in 2016. The transformation has resulted in a truly luxurious venue complete with a 5 star rating from Visit Scotland for both the restaurant and rooms. Anne MacDonald who operates the business was recently named as one of the top 100 Women in Tourism.
The property is in an excellent location with Blair Castle on one side and House of Bruar, known affectionately as the Harrods of the Highlands, on the other. A walk or hiking to the castle or to the Falls of Bruar are a must. Hop in the car into the village of Blair Atholl (a few mins) or into the tourist town of Pitlochry (15mins). There are many nearby distilleries including Edradour, Dalwhinnie, Blair Athol. If you're looking to bag some Munro's try Ben Vrackie or Schehallion at nearby Kinloch Rannoch. The mansion is also on one of the best road cycling routes in Europe where the annual Etape Caledonia passes nearby. Salmon Fishing, shooting and stalking are available on nearby estates. Pitlochry Golf Club is 15mins away with Gleneagles only 40mins.
