Deep in the heart of the South Hams lies the coastal village of Bantham at the mouth of the River Avon, close to Salcombe, Ki ngsbridge and Bigbury Bay. Lying in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the estuary and surrounding areas are a natural haven for wildlife and popular with walkers who can enjoy the magnificent scenery along the coastal footpath. Bigbury-on-Sea and the famous Burgh Island are in walking distance, as is the village of Thurlestone.
