The Old School in Idbury is a perfect location from which to explore the Cotswolds, being just ten minutes drive from Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold and Burford. Idbury itself is a tiny village on the top of Idbury Hill overlooking a rolling rural landscape. The lavender room at The Old School is spacious, light and tranquil and has a Juliet balcony offering marvellous views. We have recently redecorated the room using Farrow and Ball paint and Osbourne and Little soft furnishings and the bed is new and immensely comfortable. We offer continental breakfast at a small extra charge, which is delivered to your room or served in the garden, weather permitting. This includes fruits, juices, yoghurts, croissants and pastries, cheeses and local honey and jam. If required we can add an additional full size single "put-you-up" bed to the room; just ask.

The popular towns of Burford, Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water at just ten minutes from The Old School. Blenheim Palace is nearby as are Bibury and Chipping Camden. Our local pub, The King's Head has just won The Good Pub Guide's "Best Food 2020" award. We usually make a booking for our guests there on their first evening.
