The Pyjama Factory

Dating back to the 1800s, The Pyjama Factory offers self-catering accommodation in the centre of Bushmills. There are 2 townhouses and 2 apartments, and all offer a lounge, kitchen and spacious bedrooms. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building, and there is free parking available nearby.

Each modern apartment at The Pyjama Factory has sustainable bamboo flooring, and linens and towels are provided. Walls and ceilings are insulated, and secondary internal glazing has been installed. Heat is generated uisng an air source heat pump and highly efficient boiler. There are low energy light bulbs throughout and all taps are aerated to reduce water use.

These eco-friendly apartments are well situated for exploring the Causeway Coast. Portballintrae can be reached in less than 5 minutes by car, and the Giants Causeway is just 2 miles away.

Information about the host

Our property is over 200 years old, and an orginal grain store for the local Bushmills market, which was held next door to the property. In more recent times we have operated a Pyjama Factory from the premises, manufacturing pyjamas for over forty years. With the demise of the textile industry in Northern Ireland the business was closed in 2000. We were offered the oppurtinty to bring the property back into use in 2010 with the help of the Town Hertiage Initative who we worked with to convert it into 4 self-catering properties. We are proud that It can now be used and enjoyed as a base for visitors to the North Coast.
