The Retreat is a delightful, Victorian style accommodation in the hub of the village of Wetheral in Carlisle. This property can sleep up to four people in two double bedrooms with the bathroom and WC separate. Stunning views of the well-kept front garden can be seen from the sitting room. All rooms are very spacious and airy with bursts of light coming in through the windows. Outside is a private yard with patio furniture and shed storage for bicycles to be kept. The Retreat is ideal for two couples to share or a family of three or four to gain quality time and explore the Cumbrian area together. Side patio with lockable bike storage only. No garden space area as in photographs.
The village of Wetheral lies five miles from Carlisle in the north of Cumbria. With great transport links, Wetheral is overlooked by a restaurant, pub, village shop and tearooms. A short steep walk takes you past the church and remains of the abbey to the River Eden. To the east, the 19th century viaduct towers above the river with some of the best salmon fishing in the country. Carlisle – the Border City – is the main shopping, commercial and industrial centre in the northern half of Cumbria, with a museum, historic tours, and plenty of entertainment for you to enjoy at your own leisure.
