The Stable is a detached cottage set on the owners' farm, 4.5 miles from Rhayader in mid Wales. The cottage has a double bedroom with an en-suite, and can sleep two people. The cottage also comes with an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove. Outside the cottage has off road parking for one car and a rear garden with a patio, lawn and furniture. The Stable is a charming cottage in a delightful location, with plenty of attractions and places to visit nearby. Note: Babes-in-arms only due to open stairs. Also only one small dog allowed
Rhayader is a town with a selection of tea rooms, pubs, restaurants, amenities and boutiques, including local antiques. There is also a leisure centre with a large swimming pool and a weekly livestock market. The Red Kite Feeding Station is a great attraction not to be missed. Rhayader is the first town on the River Wye and is home to the dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys. The Elan Valley offers a variety of walks and cycle trails, as well as a visitors centre with café and children's play area. This area is known as the Wildlife Centre of Wales, with its range of nature reserves open for visitors to enjoy. There is also pony trekking available in the area. Visit Builth Wells, where the Spring Festival, Royal Welsh Agricultural Show and Winter Fair are all held annually. Alternatively, a scenic drive will take you to the Welsh coast 34 miles away.
