Information about the host

We have enjoyed welcoming guests to The Studio over the past 5 years, many returning time and time again. We ensure that Easter Egg hunts are arranged for the Easter holidays, white fairy lights adorn the open plan area during the festive period, and that the welcome basket caters seasonally and for even the smallest of guests. We also stay at The Studio several times a year ourselves, enabling us to upgrade/renew/add so we continually strive to monitor, update & improve. Our latest addition to The Studio is the Electrical Vehicle Charging point.. Whilst staying we very much enjoy walking along the beach to the local restaurants, sitting in the secluded garden in the sunshine, or sociable evenings in the open plan area preparing meals, playing the Baby Grand Piano or listening to the music from the SONOS sound system piped through the ceiling speakers. And of course in the cooler times sitting in front of the huge log burner.

Our guests enjoy being a minutes walk from the beach. Being in extremely peaceful surroundings but with everything within walking distance... Eating fish & chips on the beach. Being able to walk to a good Pub, Indian or Chinese restaurant, walk along the beach to Sovereign Harbour where there are even more restaurants. You can easily walk to Pevensey Castle. Visiting Eastbourne with its unique bandstand, gardens & theatres. An absolute must visit is to the truly spectacular Beachy Head with its superb sea views and and rolling downland clifftops and Birling Gap & the Seven sisters which are equally spectacular. You can enjoy a stunning walk from Beachy Head to Birling Gap (you can catch a bus back if too tired) and stop for lunch at The gorgeous Tiger Inn, East Dean. Fabulous antique shops in Lewes and restaurants too. Drusilla’s Park is brilliant for the Children. Bodiam castle & Hastings old town also worth a visit & also 1066 Target Shooting for rainy days. Venturing slightly further afield there’s National trust: Sheffield Park, Bodiam Castle, & Batemans. And for something more lively..Brighton with its beautiful lanes and stunning architecture and i360.

The Studio - once the beach side studio of Valentine Cameron Prinseps - a renowned British painter of the Pre-Raphaelite school - is now the most amazing family holiday home - flooded with light and atmosphere plus state of the art technology. From the lighting system that creates ambient and relaxing effects to the smart TV's with Netflix - this is a fabulous place to unwind. To top it all is the beautiful Boston Baby Grand piano (designed by Steinway) - with the most deep and lilting tone - plus the Sonos sound system, so for art lovers and musicians alike, this has to be the ultimate in holiday choice for all the family. Just yards from sweeping Pevensey Bay beach but with totally enclosed, private sun-trap gardens behind high walls and electric gate - you can choose to wander the beaches or lie back and chill in your own company. Speaking of chill - even in the coldest winter days this house offers warmth and comfort - with a huge woodburning stove in the open plan living space and a heat recovery ventilation system ensuring every room is never stuffy! There's private secure parking for 2/3 cars with the added benefit for EV owners of an Electrical Vehicle Charging point.
