At The Sweet Escape Retreat we pride ourselves on our warm luxurious Welsh welcome. Our home is by no means an ordinary B&B. It is an unique get away from it all retreat and an inspiration for artists and nature lovers. We encourage you to unwind, relax and connect with nature in our meadows, lakeside and woodland. Trefnant Bach means "little abode of the stream" and originates from medieval times. Remnants of the past like the thick stone walls and quaint window seats remain, providing clues of the building’s history. Outside, we manage the 7½ acre small holding sensitively to maintain wildlife habitats. We encourage you to bring your boots to explore our meadows, woodland and lakeside paths and experience the relaxing power of nature in this haven for wildlife. At night, Trefnant Bach is alive with nocturnal creatures and rivals most designated dark sky parks, Trefnant Bach was the childhood home of Tecwyn Roberts who became NASA's first Flight Dynamics Officer and was instrumental in the success of the manned moon landings. To honour his achievements we have named our rooms the Apollo Suite an Mercury Room.
