You will find The Teasel Yurt tucked into the side of Selsley Common. The large deck looks out over the Severn Vale and Stroud hills - spectacular in all weather and a great spot for sunset. The yurt itself can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children with your bedding and towels provided. There is a wood burner to keep the yurt cosy when it is chilly out and the open air kitchen has a canvas roof, a gas burner, firepit, sink and cool box. Your bathroom has a hot shower and compost loo. The Teasel Yurt is a camping experience without the hassle of a tent or the discomfort of a roll mat! You can be guaranteed a comfy and dry nights sleep whatever the weather and still enjoy the fun of sleeping under canvas, torches, marshmallows on sticks and outside living. Here you get the best of both worlds so, whilst you are neighbours with the owls and deer, you are also only a short drive from all the great local attractions and places to eat.
Our location, on the western edge of the Cotswolds, is easily accessible from the M5 (10mins) or by train from London, Swindon, Gloucester and Cheltenham. We are also on the Cotswold Way, the 101 mile trail between Chipping Camden and Bath, so you could choose to arrive on foot. There is a bus stop at the bottom of our drive and bike hire (pedal or electric) can be arranged. Sainsburys is a short drive away and we are within walking distance of the award-winning, Bell Inn pub in Selsley. Stroud itself has a fantastic Saturday Farmer's Market, selling an amazing array of local produce and crafts, and an ever increasing selection of great cafes, pubs and restaurants. The many fantastic local attractions include, spectacular walks, visits to the local vineyard or brewery, boat trips on the canal, Winstone's local ice-cream parlour, Woodchester Mansion, Painswick Rococo Gardens, Berkeley castle, Cattle Country or Westonbirt Arboretum. Alternatively the yurt is a great base for Bath Spa, racing, jazz or literature in Cheltenham, Badminton Horsetrials or Gifford's Circus.
