Lligwy is a secluded sandy beach popular with walkers and is on the route of the Anglesey Coastal Path. The beach is popular for swimming, fishing and water sports. Close by is the impressive Lligwy neolithic burial chamber and the Din Lligwy prehistoric settlement. At the northern end of the A5025, Amlwch is a historic fishing village associated with the ‘Copper Kingdom’ of Parys Mountain. These mines have been worked since the Bronze Age, 3,500 years ago and it has been estimated that between 1768 and 1904 , 3.5 million tons of ore had been removed from Parys Mountain to give around 130 000 tons of copper metal.
