**From 12th April to 17th May 2021 we are only open for guests who live together as one household ** Tickeridge Farm is a wonderful place for getting together with friends and family. It sits in a big garden with rolling lawns and views towards the Malvern Hills. It’s no longer a working farm but is surrounded by 5 acres of fields where you’ll find horses grazing. Its origins date back to Elizabethan times, as you will see from some of the original oak ships beams visible throughout the house. Over the centuries it has been gradually enlarged with sympathetic additions and adaptations so that today it is a comfortable five-bedroom country getaway - ideally suited for getting together with friends and family.
As a family we've owned Tickeridge Farm since the 1970's as a holiday house. Its somewhere that we and our families and friends have been lucky enough to enjoy across the years and now hope that you will. After a major refurbishment and a substantial remodeling it cleverly combines its old historic roots with the new Surrounding the house are 5 acres of our land - giving stunning uninterrupted views and a sense of wonderful privacy. We hope you'll love it.
Tickeridge Farm lies just outside the small village of Hanley Swan, between the Malvern Hills and the river Severn. It is a 3-minute ride to the village or a 5 – 10 minute walk. Hanley Swan is a quintessential English village – a village green, a lily-covered pond and a superb gastro pub with an open fire! The surrounding countryside is beautiful and there are a host of things to do locally - choose from walking, cycling, quad biking, hot air ballooning, horse riding, horse racing, fishing, boating, swimming, golf and dry skiing. You really should 'climb' the Malvern Hills and explore the beautiful unspoilt countryside, with Upton-on-Severn (famous for its Jazz Festival), Malvern (home of Morgan Cars) and the market town of Ledbury all within 10 miles. The spa town of Cheltenham with its famous racecourse is close by as are the cathedral cities of Worcester and Hereford. For the historically minded - Eastnor Castle, Sudeley Castle and Warwick Castle are definitely worth visits and host a series of events throughout the year. The Brecon Beacons, the Wye Valley and the Cotswolds are all within easy reach as is Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace.
