Town Beck Cottage is a detached cottage located in the market town of Ulverston close to the Lake District National Park. The cottage can sleep six in three bedrooms comprising three doubles (one with en-suite shower room) and a separate family bathroom. The cottage also contains a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room. To the outside is off road parking for one car and a patio area with garden furniture to the rear. Located in a lovely market town and yet just a short drive to the mountains and lakes, Town Beck Cottage is a superb cottage in the outstanding Lake District.
The ancient market town of Ulverston still holds a street market every Thursday and Saturday. Today its well known as a festival town with events throughout the year, including walking and art festivals in the summer months and the renowned Dickensian festival in late November. One of the towns great claims to fame is as the birthplace of Stan Laurel - it is now home to the only Laurel and Hardy museum in the world! Facilities include a wide range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, a cinema and a leisure centre. All of the attractions of the National Park are easily reached. The Furness Coast boasts sandy beaches and good birdwatching. Nearby family attractions include the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston and popular Birkrigg Common, with its incredible panoramic views across Morecambe Bay.
