Tregatherall is in a lovely location close to the fishing village and harbour if Boscastle. It is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by fields and sheep! The rooms have been tastefully decorated and the property is centrally heated throughout. There us a very spacious lounge to relax in and the dining room opens onto a patio if you so wished to have breakfast there in the summer to see a lovely rural view. There is plenty of private parking and safe for children to run around, or just have a pleasant walk along the farm lane. The aim at Tregatherall is for your stay with us to be a comfortable and relaxing one. Tregatherall Barn is a one bed apartment that is around the corner to the farmhouse and has the benefit of bed and breakfast with a self catering touch also, as it has a fully fitted kitchen, diner, lounge, so guests can come over to the farmhouse for breakfast and then cook in the evening, if they wish. This also has a gorgeous outlook and private parking.
I started bed and breakfast when my youngest son, who is now 25, was 3. I had 3 young boys under 5 and could no longer work at National Westminster. We built the farmhouse 10 years ago to suit the needs of our guests and it is a lovely property. I also have 2 young grandchildren who I love spending as much time as possible and I also get involved in charity work when I can . I love spending time with friends when I can although mainly in the winter. My husband, Trevor and myself run Tregatherall together.
We are very close to the coastal path and part of the Brown ramblers route around Boscastle. The village is a couple of minutes away in the car to the nearest pub and another couple of minutes to the harbour. the beaches are in both directions 10/15 minutes away, as is the famous villages of port Gaverne and Port Isaac (Doc Martin). Further along the coast, about 20 minutes is Rock and you can ferry across to Padstow. Eden project is 45 minutes away and Lands End is only 2 hours. There are a couple of golf courses nearby, Bowood is 4 miles and Launceston 14 miles. There is Crealy at Wadebridge for the children and also Bodmin steam railway. Walking the coastal path is a must and there are some beautiful walks such as Boscastle to Tintagel and Boscastle to Crackington, with a lovely farm shop on the way to have a cream tea! Boscastle also has some lovely eating places and Tintagel is 3 miles with King Arthurs Castle.there is also the Camel trail at Wadebridge to cycle to Padstow and other parts of the trail such as Wadebridge to Bodmin or St Breward. There is lots to do and see and the views along the coast are stunning!
