Following an extensive renovation, we look forward to welcoming you to our comfortable apartment, which we have furnished with contemporary and retro items, often sourced from nearby St Leonards and Hastings shops. Located in the St Leonards area of Hastings, the garden apartment forms one floor of a late Victorian red brick house. At basement level at the front, approached down 5 steps, at the rear it leads straight out onto a private paved garden. As well a cosy double bedroom, there is a living/dining room that incorporates a well fitted and equipped kitchen area. The newly refitted bathroom has a bath with a large over bath shower. The living area leads out through double doors to the paved garden/terrace with planted borders and a micro pond. Garden furniture provided, ideal for relaxing after a busy day out. Regular direct trains run from London Charing Cross to St Leonards Warrior Square (90 to 120 minutes) and services also run from Victoria, Gatwick, or via Ashford. Along the south coast, trains also run to Brighton and Eastbourne. National Express coaches run from Victoria to St Leonards. 'TowerRoad' bus stop is at the end of the road. Local taxis are good value
Just around the corner in London Road and nearby are several retro stores, ideal for the first browse of the day. There is a Thai restaurant a few steps away, plus a convenience store, and bakery for fresh bread and sandwiches. One street away is Bohemia Road with a local Co-Op and several take away shops. There are several pubs within a few minutes walk. Down the hill towards the seafront is the local St Leonard Warrior Square station (direct trains from London) , and the local shopping around Kings Road and Norman Road. There are a number of Cafes, the Kino Teatr cinema/performance space and numerous small retro and vintage stores. There are further shops and cafes along the seafront, while a short walk along the Promenade or through Bottle Alley is the award winning Hastings Pier, opposite the White Rock Theatre. In the other direction, there is the iconic deco Marine Court, once the tallest residential building in the UK, with further opportunities to browse shops, galleries or have a coffee. A longer stroll past the pier take you to Hastings old Town - for typical British seaside amusements, medieval streets, great shopping and eating, and the tiny Electric Palace cinema
