I come from Pembrokeshire and have almost always lived here, I wouldn't choose to live anywhere else. Living in Solva, I love the fact that I can walk to the harbour, the coast path, the pub, the shop and whatever else is going on in the village.
Solva itself is a picturesque south facing village with a real sense of community. The harbour is a hive of activity from spring to autumn and lovely and quiet in the winter. There are lots of places to join the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and you can choose a number of short walks or go for miles. When the tide is out you can walk along the beach to the mouth of the harbour. The village has three pubs, a number of cafes and restaurants, shops and galleries. The famouse city of St. Davids is 3 miles away with a cathedral and Bishops Palace and the area has many beautiful beaches and coves and is rich in animal, bird and plant life. Exploring the area you will also find other harbours, villages, woolen mills and galleries and for the more active a variety of boat trips, coasteering, surfing etc.
