Ty newydd is one of the oldest properties in the village, once owned by Lord Ancaster, the landowner, and also belonged to the Gwydyr Castle estate. A victorian frontage was added 1887 to give large bay windows adding to larger rooms with more light and better views.Ty newydd is located in the village centre Ty newydd is an established Guest House offering bed and breakfast all year round, Wales Tourist Board and AA accredited 3 star accommodation.

TY newydd is owned and hosted by myself Lillian and husband Allan, we enjoy meeting people and contributing to give an enjoyable and memorable stay in Wales. We love travelling ourselves and hope to give our guests the experiences we would like to expect.

Trefriw is a quaint village nested in the beautiful Conwy Valley and within the Snowdonia National Park. Surrounded by mountains and the Gwydir forest makes it ideal for walking and exploring. There are village pubs and restaurants, post office with newspapers and shop, butchers/grocers, cafe, hairdressers and Trefriw Woollen Mills which has a shop and cafe. We have nearby lakes for fishing and watersports, and river walks. Trefriw is 4 miles from A5 at Betws y coed and 9 miles from A55 at Conwy. We are on bus route, train station at Llanrwst is 2 miles away.
