Ty’r Heulwen is a fantastic, upside down cottage a short walk from the centre of Aberdovey in Wales. The cottage can sleep eight people, offering two ground floor double rooms, one with patio doors leading into the shared garden, a ground floor adult bunk room and a ground floor shower room. On the first floor you will find a well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room with a dining area, a double sofa bed, an electric fire and patio doors leading out onto a veranda. Outside, the veranda overlooks the Aberdovey golf course and the shared gardens are large and lawned. There is also off road parking for two cars. Ty’r Heulwen is a wonderful base for friends and families wishing to explore the wonders of Wales, all year round!
Renowned for its mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course, the picturesque harbour village of Aberdovey is often referred to as "an artist's paradise". Packed with pastel coloured cottages, small shops, inns and excellent restaurants which specialise in local seafood, the settlement offers a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain, including four miles of golden sand dunes running north to Tywyn - home of the world-famous Talyllyn Steam Railway. Popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen, these beaches make a wonderful spot for a day trip, whilst the estuary attracts a wide range of water sports enthusiasts. The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are also close by and offer a range of walks at different difficulty levels.
