Walltown Lodge B&B is located in the idyllic Northumberland National and Dark Sky Parks, in an unrivalled location just 150 yards from what is acknowledged to be the most dramatic and beautiful stretch of Hadrians Wall. We are directly on the Pennine Way, Hadrians Wall Path and C2C Cycle Route 72 and just a few feet away from Walltown Quarry Nature Reserve which has been awarded Dark Sky Milky Way status meaning that the milky way can be seen from here with the naked eye, and opposite the Roman Army Museum. Re-opened in July 2016, Walltown Lodge has been sympathetically refurbished and offers 3 comfortable, tastefully decorated en-suite rooms. Think country cottage with all mod cons....chunky throws, flagstone floors, vintage furniture meets flat-screen TV's, usb charger sockets and dab radios in all rooms. All rooms are located on the ground floor. We are happy to offer special touches such as flowers, chocolates, cakes etc. in your room prior to arrival for that special occasion. We are perfectly located for guests walking or cycling Hadrian's Wall and The Pennine Way, as well as well as for anybody just wishing to visit beautiful Northumberland, The North Pennines, Cumbria and The Scottish Borders, all of which are within easy reach of Walltown Lodge. We are located directly opposite The Roman Army Museum and on the "country bus" route which serves all of the main locations on Hadrians Wall. There is a local pub which serves food all day within a short 5-10 minute walk of Walltown Lodge. We also provide the option of self catering accommodation in our newly converted luxury holiday cottage, Aquila Cottage which can be viewed under our seperate listing.
