Watercress barns are located on a former watercress farm in a quite Kent village of Newington. Within easy reach of Blue Flag beaches, historic town of Canterbury, close to walks and cycle routes you will find the variety of activities nearby. In 19th century farm produced best quality watercress that was sold in London Covent Garden. Today watercress no longer farmed in Newington but spring-fed lagoons are brilliant for wildlife. Look out for water shews, polecats, rabbits, badgers , grass snakes and frogs. Variety of bird species like LHerons, Kingfishers, Grey Wagtails, Wrens, Moorhens and Water Rails can be spotted on the farm.
