Bridleways is situated on a quiet bridle path inbetween Clipstone and Forest Town, only 2 miles from Mansfield Town. We are located on a bridle path that leads directly into Vicar Water Country Park and Sherwood Pines. The guest house is situated in front of our 3 acres of grounds, set in a tranquil and quiet location with a good nights sleep guarenteed. The centre of the guesthouse dates back to the 1800's and was a working farm house. In the 1960's the current owners accommadation was added and in 2002 the four double / family bedrooms were then added. Within the grounds we also have a two bedroom cottage that we let and also four large static caravans for holiday lets throughout the year.
Bridleways is owned and operated by Emyr and Tracey Jones who purchased the property in November 2017. They met in 1988 during their further education in hospitality management in Cheltemham and whilst Tracey has branched out into HR during her career, Emyr has remained within the hospitality industry for over 30 years.
We are directly linked via a bridle path into Vicar Water Country Park which has a lake and 80 hectares of woodland. We are also only minutes from all of the attractions linked to Sherwood Forest, so whether it's walking you enjoy or culture, Bridleways is not far from a wide variety of attractions. These include Newstead Abbey, Chatsworth House, Rufford Abbey and being close to the Derbyshire borders we are also within easy reach of Matlock and Bakewell.
