Information about the host

The mile of the River Wensum running through the site is what really sets us apart. Guests can enjoy fishing on the river as part of their booking or can prebook a 24 hour slot at our exclusive carp late which is not open to the general public. We also have 2 on-site canoes which can be used by our guests (please bring your own life jackets and use at your own risk). If your family would like to enjoy a farm experience, guests can prebook this activity around the beautiful farm, where you will find cows, pigs, sheep and lots of ducks, geese, pheasants and an array of other birds. There is lots to explore within the estate plus if you enjoy cycling you will find an entrance on to Marriotts Way a few minutes from the site which runs from Norwich to Aylsham If you would like to explore the coast, North Norfolk is around 40mins away with resorts like Wells-next-the-sea. Plus our personal favourite West Runton. You won't find busy arcades or shops here but the beach is dog friendly with loads of rock pools as well as sandy stretches. It is famous for fossil hunting and was the site of the famous Mammoth discovery. We are lucky to have the newly re-opened White Pheasant Hotel a stones through meaning guests can enjoy a meal or drinks in their restaurant and bar area without the need to drive. The village of Lenwade also boasts an excellent traditional fish and chip shop, local shop, bakery and more.

If you are looking for peace and tranquillity the site is perfect for you. We are surrounded in the best of the Norfolk countryside with wooded areas, a mile of the River Wensum, private carp lake available to book and amazing views. Will you find our rope swing? The tents offer luxury camping at its best. Each comprises of a proper double bed and up to 3 camp beds with a woodburning stove and all cooking equipment and cutlery etc provided. We provide all bedding and lots of comfy blankets so you just need to bring your towels and toiletries. If al-fresco dining is your thing, each tent has an outdoor fire pit for cooking and BBQs plus there is a large central firepit if there is a larger group. We pride ourselves on being family friendly and your little nature lovers can really explore the grounds, whilst free from the distraction of screens and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Relaxation at its best!
