A warm welcome awaits you on arrival at West Hill –our one and only luxury Bed & Breakfast suite in Ruston. The house is a stunning Grade II listed traditionally built old farmstead occupying an elevated position overlooking the beautiful unspoilt village of Ruston. Our luxury bed and breakfast suite is fully self contained from the main house giving you your own private entrance and own dining room. PLEASE NOTE DUE TO RECENT EVENTS WE HAVE UPDATED OUR DINING ROOM TO OFFER YOU A CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST SO IF YOU WISH YOU DON'T NEED TO MEET ANYONE DURING YOUR STAY. This will consist of your own kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge (full of goodies!) The stunning bedroom with en-suite shower is situated at the top of the (fairly steep) quaint staircase that leads from the breakfast room giving you beautiful views across the pan tiled rooftops of Ruston. The accommodation is tastefully decorated in sophisticated neutral colours, dressed with antique furniture and quality fittings. The room has everything you could wish for including 32 inch flat screen TV, WiFi, central heating, hairdryer and coffee and tea-making facilities. We do not allow smoking anywhere on the premises.

We are ideally located just 50 yards from the boundary of the North York Moors National Park and on our doorstep we have a wide variety of wildlife including deer and rare species of birds. The house is surrounded by stunning countryside and breathtaking scenery offering activities such as fishing, sailing, bird watching, shooting, horse riding, mountain biking, walking and we are also perfectly situated for accommodation for weddings in Wykeham nearby and much more. Great sights to see in the surrounding area include: Dalby Forest, Whitby, York, Malton, Helmsley and the Moors. We can recommend a number of good pubs and restaurants, one less than 10 minutes walk from the house, another 10 minutes drive and an award winning pub/restaurant 5 minutes drive/40 minutes walk across the fields. Wykeham Tea Rooms is a short walk from the house. There is also an array of tea rooms, restaurants and pubs in surrounding villages and towns of Pickering, Thornton-le-Dale, Scarborough, Malton and York. There are many farm shops, quality butchers and farmers’ markets within the local area. Malton holds an excellent food market each month & the famous Glaves Butchers is just over a mile away.
