West Lodge, a private house, nestled between the beautiful rural and historical villages of Wheathampstead and Kimpton at Porters End, has lovely views over open countryside and yet, is conveniently close to Luton Airport. It is an unexpected treat to find somewhere so tranquil, at the end of country lanes, behind a sweep of gravel drive. The imposing red-brick edifice is new, well-designed and and sits in about two acres of gardens; fields and woodland are visible beyond the lawns. Inside, there is an abundance of windows and light, and a smart and luxurious decor. Rooms range from a luxurious suite, a spacious double to a more functional single; colourful bathrooms gleam. West Lodge is only three miles from the garden town of Harpenden, which offers an excellent transport link to central London, 20 minutes by train. it is six miles from Welwyn Garden City from where Cambridge can be reached in 40 minutes. Being only 15 minutes away from Luton Airport makes this a perfect place to relax before setting of on your flight. Cars can be parked for only £6 a day, and pick up from Luton Airport can be provided by prior arrangement. Nearby places of interest include Wheathampstead, Ayot St. Lawrence, St. Albans (Roman Verulamium), Luton Hoo, Woburn Abbey and safari park. Please Note we cannot accommodate Lorry's, Drilling Rigs and tractors as we have a small car parking area. A transit van is acceptable.
