West Lodge - Strathconon

West Lodge - Strathconon is a cottage with a garden, located on the edge of the Highland village Scatwell. Guests benefit from two outside decking areas and a barbecue. Free WiFi is featured and free private parking is available on site.

The cottage is fitted with a kitchen with a dishwasher and oven. A flat-screen TV with satellite channels, as well as a CD player are offered.

Guests can enjoy various activities in the surroundings, including hiking, skiing and horse riding.

West Lodge is a privately owned holiday home. A former 'gate house' to Scatwell House, this 160 old cottage has been owned and renovated by John and Helen. West Lodge is located half way up the longest Strath in Scotland. But within easy reach of the Highland city of Inverness. Ideal location to enjoy peace and quiet in the heart of the true Highlands of Scotland. Perfect location to undertake an abundance of activities hiking, kayaking, angling, skiing, cycling, wildlife (even Nessie!?) watching. This is truely a cozy 'home from home' and is extremely well equipped.

We bought West Lodge in 2014 and regularly have vacations there ourselves. So West Lodge has been equipped comprehensively to allow us to stay there at short notice, needing only our food, toiletries and clothing. With both of us having a hospitality background, we appreciate that the details are important to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable experience is had when on vacation. We also have a four legged friend and understand how challenging it can be to find good quality holiday homes that allow for no human members of your family. So West Lodge welcomes well behaved pets.

West Lodge is located on the outskirts of Scatwell village half way up Strathconon Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. Strathconon is well known by locals and visitors as being a stunningly beautiful and tranquil glen with an abundance of wild life. In particular: Red Deer, Red Kites, Pine Martin, Buzzards and a variety of bird life, There are many forestry walks in the area to enjoy and several walks you can do straight from your front door. At West Lodge you can enjoy a peaceful time around the fire pit at either of the two sizable decked areas in the grounds (lower decking or Top Deck)
