Information about the host

Blackpark is a hidden secret of Inverness with fabulous views across the Beauly Firth to the Black Isle and Ben Wyvis our nearest "Munro". We are minutes from the city but enjoy a wonderful rural environment with wildflower meadows, a forest garden, and local walks from the house including the Great Glen Way. Blackpark is a great starting point to explore to the North and West, and including the North Coast 500 route. The house is modern, eco-friendly, energy efficient, and very comfortable.

We love self catering accommodation and have tried to provide to our guests what we look for when choosing a place - warm, comfortable, space, good views, nice kitchen and lounge, wood burning stove, en-suite bathrooms, pet friendly, quality fittings, good IT and Sky TV - all at no extra cost or hidden charges.

Blackpark is just beyond Craig Phadrig, a vitrefied Pictish fort from where King Brude ruled the area (ruled circa 550–584). He was converted to Christianity by St Columba. Inverness is the gateway to the Highlands and North West, as well as the starting point of the North Coast 500 route which takes you through exquisite scenery, history, and environment although at times narrow roads.
