This fabulous family home has been beautifully renovated and offers exceptional accommodation for up to seven adult guests or a family of eight with younger children. The White House enjoys a wonderful and peaceful setting beneath the Roundhill on the South Downs and has the most wonderful view from the garden east towards Devils's Dyke and Truleigh Hill. The house has two living rooms, one set around a log burning stove and the other with an outlook onto the private garden. The kitchen is a traditional cottage style and is fully equipped with an Aga that can be used over the winter months, and a conventional oven and separate induction hob as well. There are four bedrooms, one with a super king sized bed, one with a king sized bed and a twin bedroom and single bedroom. The single bedroom is fitted with a trundle bed which can be used with a family. There is a supplementary charge if the trundle bed is used for the eighth guest and due to its size this bed is only suitable for a child. On the first floor there is a bathroom with a roll top bath that is fitted with a telephone style shower attachment. Downstairs there is a shower room with a large walk in shower.
The garden here is completely secure and offers a private setting and the most wonderful view along the Downs towards the east. A charge will be made for each dog (guide dogs for the blind and registered assistance dogs excepted). Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog with you and we will advise you of the charge for your booking. This property will accept a maximum of two dogs. The market town of Steyning. The White House is less than 0.5 miles from the centre of the market town of Steyning. It is a town full of history dating back 500 years with many Tudor period buildings. There are independent shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy. Steyning is also less than ten miles from Brighton and the sea at Shoreham by Sea is only five miles away. The South Downs are a major draw and the house sits on the slopes of the Downs. A short climb takes you to the top of the Downs where there are great walking and cycling opportunities east towards Devil's Dyke and west towards Chanctonbury Ring.
