Richard and Pamela Morris are the proud owners of Willington Lodge. They extend a very warm welcome to all guests and treat you as one of the family during your stay. They embrace country life , horse riding is a favourite pastime, their two horses are Picasso and Todd, they also have 10 welsh black sheep and two cats Polo and Pepsi. Country walks are in abundance from Willington Lodge so in spare time they like to amble around the lanes and footpaths close by. Pamela enjoys entertaining and always has the kettle on to welcome family and friends into her home.

Willington Lodge is a Grade II Listed Property, residence of The Morris Family, which has been extensively refurbished to a Five Star standard offering 6 double rooms, 1 family room, and a self catering cottage - Lord Willington Cottage for our guests all with en suite bathrooms - sleeps 20 in total. It has extensive gardens, plus a private walled garden, perfect for sunbathing. Willington Lodge is a small holding and has 7 acres of open fields and farmland to enjoy. We also have a small caravan and camping park attached called Lady Willington camping and caravan park, very quiet and peaceful location enjoying the views over the Welsh hills. Four of our rooms have their own private front door and parking out side. These rooms are in the converted stables and former servants quarters. They all share the pretty courtyard, which has garden furniture to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the sunshine. Reception is in drawing room of the main house, where you will be offered either a cup of tea or coffee and a selection of Pam's home make cakes. Willington Lodge is situated on the Cheshire/Shropshire/Welsh Borders and is very close to some lovely attractions and days out. 5 minute drive from Iscoyd Park Wedding Venue National Trust Properties - Chirk Castle and Erddig Hall, World Heritage Site - Pontycylltle Aqueduct, One of the wonders of Wales - Saint Giles Church, Wrexham, Sandstone Trail starts in Whitchurch, Hawkstone Follies and golf club, to name but a few. Whitchurch town is 6 miles, Llangollen town 12 miles, Chester Roman city 20 miles and Shrewsbury town 20 miles. Richard and Pamela are happy to help you with an itinerary so you can make the most of your time spent at Willington Lodge, offering you maps etc to help you find your various locations. From Willington Lodge there are some great circular walks, incorporating local pubs with roaring fires in the winter months. Bring your own horse for a holiday too and visit Hadley Cross Country Course, 4 miles away. Also there are fabulous bridle paths from Willington Lodge so you can ride for 12 miles without touching a main road.
