Windrush is set in 4 acres with an enviable rural hilltop location with stunning open countryside views. A converted stone built spacious farm steading we are proud to have achieved a 4 star Visit Scotland grading so a comfortable luxury stay is assured. Families , golfers and couples will relish the amenities of a safe area to play ball games , practise your golf swing or throw a ball for your four legged friends. We enjoy wildlife, pheasants , deer & buzzards. A self catering stay allows maximum flexibilty to suit your families needs . A welcome basket of wine and essentials will await you and all fresh quality bed linen and towels as well as fuel are included .Extra baskets of logs to feed the large cosy woodburner are available at a small additional charge. All modern conveniences can be found in the well equipped kitchen. Set amidst gorgeous countryside we are perfectly located for walking or cycling ( we are on the Fife cycle path) . A mere 2 miles away is our local village of Ceres , historically famous for hosting the very first Highland Games as well as having the Fife Folk Museum and famous Wemyss ware pottery. A 15 minute drive and you are in the university town of St. Andrews with it's award winning beaches ,famous golf courses , sea life centre ,swimming pool , theatre , cinema and a wide selection of restaurants and shops for every taste.There are plenty of things to keep the family happy - the Scottish Deer centre and Cairnie fruit farm and mega maze are only 6 miles from Windrush. The East neuk of Fife has quaint fishing villages - Anstruther, Crail , Elie and Pittenweem have lovely harbours and plenty to see with boat trips out the islands to see wildlife. Dundee , city of Discovery , is only 30 minutes drive and is looking forward to the opening of the V&A museum . Visit the Discovery tall ship , the skate park , cinemas , olympia swimming pool or laser tag . Taking the train ( 1 hour ) from the local town of Cupar is the easiest way to reach the centre of our capital Edinburgh .
