This eco-friendly cottage is a perfect base for a holiday exploring the beautiful Suffolk coast. Westleton is a picturesque village, a short way inland from the coast at Dunwich,
The picturesque village of Westleton is well equipped for your stay. Besides the village shop and post office there are two pubs, The Crown and The White Horse Inn along with a tea shop, The Snug Tea Room. The village is set on the edge of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are fantastic walks taking in the different landscapes which make up this hugely important area and the RSPB reserve at Minsmere is a short distance away. Dunwich is close by and besides the heathland which is maintained by the National Trust, you can explore the history of this once thriving port and the lost town which the sea claimed in the 13th and 14th Centuries. Dunwich has a lovely beach and Walberswick is further north on the coast if you fancy a day at the seaside. The Victorian seaside resorts of Aldeburgh and Southwold are equidistance away from Westleton and besides the lure of the beaches, have lots of pubs and restaurants serving locally produced food and fresh fish along with a number of independent shops. If you fancy a real treat, book a table at L'Escargot sur Mer in Aldeburgh. Of course, nothing quite compares to fish and chips eaten on the beach.
