Situated 7 miles from Mourne Mountains and surrounded by the rolling countryside, Ballyroney Cottage B&B offers modern rooms, free parking, and easy access to outdoor activities. Belfast City Airport is just 45 minutes' drive away, while both Dublin and Belfast International Airports can be reached after 75 minutes by car.

Each room in Ballyroney Cottage features an en suite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, and free WiFi.

A hearty country breakfast includes locally sourced produce, eggs from the B&B’s own free range hens, homemade jams, wheaten bread, and yoghurt. Honey is also produced onsite and the milk comes from the property's own goat. Vegetarian and special dietary requirements are catered for by prior arrangement.

The property also offers self-sufficiency courses, at an extra cost. They include lessons about bee-keeping, keeping chickens, milking goats, fruit and vegetable growing and how to make your own jam and wine. Day courses also include a light lunch and refreshments.

Belfast city centre is 30 miles away and Lough Neagh is 40 minutes’ drive from the property. The small town of Newcastle, County Down, is a 20-minute drive away, offering access to the Northern Irish coastline and the Irish Sea.

With "Zero Food Miles" being very important, we are delighted to claim this for many of our breakfast ingredients including our own milk, yoghurt, fruit compotes, eggs, honey, jam, tomatoes & apples. Guests are welcome to visit the garden & animals.

We are currently awaiting grading for Green Tourism. While ensuring a luxury, quality stay with us, we aim to be as eco friendly as possible. We pride ourselves in our home produce which reduces impact on the environment.
