Information about the host

The (self contained) Bothy is a separate studio annexe away from the main family house. I have tried to make it ‘home from home’. We have provided a microwave oven but don’t have full cooking facilities. The Bothy is cosy so we can only host two adults and a child rather than three adults. I try and make it home from home and not like a hotel and have a lot of books and magazines in there. We welcome children and have put a few toys and books in there for them to enjoy. It is also a very quiet place if you are on a work trip and would like some peace and a place to relax. We have been hosting on another site for nearly three years and have a 5* rating with lots of excellent reviews. The Bothy consists of a bedroom with double bed, sitting room with sofa bed (please let me know in advance if you would like to use this) and a bathroom with shower. There is high speed WiFi and a table to work at. I have provided a Tassimo coffee machine, kettle, toaster and small fridge. I also provide a very simple breakfast of bread, jam, marmalade, butter, cereal, milk, tea and coffee. If you want a full English breakfast there is Friar Tuck cafe in Amesbury which is excellent!

We are a husband and wife who love meeting new people and sharing our beautiful garden. Gardening is one of our many interests along with body boarding, walking and reading. We aim to make people feel welcome and will endeavour to answer any questions guests might have. We can recommend excellent places to eat nearby and places to visit. Due to security I do prefer to be here when you check in but if I can’t be I will give you the key safe details over the phone or by text. We have two dogs, Muffin and Penny, 12 chickens and 3 ducks!

Stonehenge is very close (about 3 miles) and Amesbury is a short walk away. There are lots of restaurants, cafes and shops in Amesbury and 4 supermarkets.
