Hobsons House is set in a picturesque garden in an exclusive location, 100yds to Wolfson College, minutes walk to Newnham, Selwyn, Clare Hall, Robinson Colleges, including Sidgwick Site,West Road Concert Hall, Law Faculty, University Library, Cambridge University Rugby Club, Tyndale House and convenient to the city centre, Museums, Engineering Dept, Judges Institute, Carvendish Laboratory, the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathamatical Sciences and Granchester renowned for it's lovely views offered by the riverside walk. It was once home to Rupert Brook and an inspiration to many of his poems. We are 15 minutes drive to Duxford Imperial War Museum set in a very popular venue for war bird enthusiasts and air shows. A brisk walk to the city centre is approximately 20 min. The Red Bull Pub is 9 min , the cluster of restuarants including A Thai, two Indian, plus the Granta Pub in Newnham is 14 min walk. There is a half hourly bus to the city centre during the day. A bicycle rental service is available near Hobsons House. Breakfast is optional at Hobsons House. The owners live on site. They are keen collectors of antique furnitures so guests will see different hard wood furnitures in bedrooms and public areas. They are also keen gardeners so the garden will have different species of trees, fruit trees, seasonal flowering shrubs including Camelias, Azelias, Rhododendrons etc and vegetables growing. There's also a fish pond with different types of fishes.
