The Orlando is self-checkin, so guests do not have to come in to contact with any member of staff in order to enter their room and checkin to the building. Guests will be sent a pincode up to 48 hours prior to arrival in the 'welcome email', along with my mobile number, should you need any help, or if you have any questions either before or during your stay. I live three doors away, and so I am available if you need me during your stay. The Orlando is a newly renovated eight bedroom boutique hotel with 'room only' i.e we do not provide breakfast. Each room at the Orlando has a private ensuite glass walled bathroom, large flatscreen TV, room fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries, complimentary wifi, and a keyless 24hour entry system.

The Orlando is managed by Claire Bracher, whose first career was as a professional viola da gamba performer, and for ten years as a professor of the viola da gamba at the Royal College of Music in London. The 'Orlando' Hotel is named after the renaissance composer Orlando Gibbons (1583 to 1625) who studied at King's College Cambridge.

The Orlando is only 3 minutes walk from Cambridge central train station, and a 10 to 15 minute walk to Cambridge city centre and the iconic Cambridge University colleges.
